Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
