Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
