The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
