Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You will be shown hell 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Almighty Allah's Truth.
