Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
