The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 About what they used to do. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
