1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
