▼ 15 The Hijjr Valley
Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
