AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 When they reached the confluence they forgot the fish (they had brought as food) which swiftly made its way into the sea. 61 After they had passed the place, Moses said to his young companion, "Bring us our morning meal; we have indeed been fatigued by this journey." 62 He said:"Do you remember when we betook ourselves to the rock? I indeed forgot the fish, none but Shaitan (Satan) made me forget to remember it. It took its course into the sea in a strange (way)!" 63 Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come). 64 Then they found one of Our servants unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and We had taught him knowledge proceeding from Us. 65 Moosa said to him, “May I stay with you upon the condition that you will teach me the righteousness that you have been taught?” 66 He said: "You will not be able to bear with me. 67 How could you be patient in matters beyond your knowledge?" 68 Moses said, "If God wishes, you will find me patient and I shall not disobey any of your orders." 69 He (Khidr) said: "Then, if you follow me, ask me not about anything till I myself mention it to you." 70
