Seest thou not that We have set the Evil Ones on against the unbelievers, to incite them with fury? 83 Therefore, do not hasten (things) against them, for We count out to them a number, 84 On the Day of Judgment, when the pious people will be brought into the presence of the Beneficent God as the guests of honor 85 And drive the wicked into Hell like cattle driven to water, 86 having no power of intercession, save those who have taken with the All-merciful covenant. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation 90 For they have attributed a son to Ar-Rahman, 91 The Beneficent God is too Exalted to have a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and earth except he comes to the Merciful as a worshiper. 93 Verily He encompasses them and has counted them all. 94 Every one of them shall come to Him upon the Day of Resurrection, all alone. 95 Those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Merciful will assign for them love. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
