And a sign for them is the dead land, that We quickened and brought forth from it grain, whereof they eat; 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 so that they may consume the fruits and whatever their hands prepare. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not! 36 Of the signs for them is how We separated the day from the night and thus they remained in darkness; 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 And the moon -- We have determined it by stations, till it returns like an aged palm-bough. 39 It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night surpass the day; and each one of them floats in its orbit. 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved 43 It is only by Our mercy that they are granted provision for a time. 44 When they are told, "Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy," (they turn back). 45 Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. 46 and when they are told, "Give to others out of what God has provided for you," those who are bent on denying the truth say to the believers, "Why should we feed those whom God could feed if He wanted? You are clearly in error!" 47 And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?” 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return. 50
