THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
