And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
