And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 They denied all Our signs, We therefore seized them – the seizure of the Most Honourable, the All Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
