Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 The living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
