Are you more difficult to create or the heavens? He built it, 27 He raised high its height, then put it into a right good state. 28 and darkened its night and brought forth its morning. 29 and the earth which He spread out, 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 [all this] as a means of sustenance for you and your animals? 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 The Day whereon man shall remember whatsoever he had striven for. 35 Hell fire will become visible for those who would see it. 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 Verily the Scorch! that shall be his resort. 39 But as for him who feared the Station of his Lord and forbade the soul its caprice, 40 paradise will truly be the goal! 41 They ask you about the hour, when it will come. 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof? 44 you are but a warner for those who fear it. 45 The day they see it, it will seem they had stayed in the world but only an evening or its turning into dawn. 46
