He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] 8 And whereas he fears, 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 How We poured down water in torrents, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 And the olive and the palm, 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
