Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 who know all that you do: 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
