Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
