Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 Get us out of this, O Lord. If we transgress we will surely be sinful." 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
