The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Whoever is given the Record in his right hand 7 His account shall presently be taken by an easy reckoning. 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 But he who is given his Book from behind his back 10 Will pray for death, 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 for, behold, he never thought that he would have to return [to God]. 14 But he will indeed! His Lord was ever watching him. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 by the night and what it covers, 17 or by the moon when it is full, 18 you will progress from stage to stage. 19 What aileth them then, that they believe not, 20 and when the Koran is recited to them that they do not prostrate! ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 And Allah knows best what they hide, 23 So give them good tidings of a painful chastisement, 24 except the righteously striving believers, who will receive a never-ending reward. 25
God the Almighty always says the truth.
