Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 he said, "You seem to be strangers". 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 "And we have brought to you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly, we tell the truth. 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We communicated to him the decree that by the morning those people will be totally destroyed. 66 And the people of the town came rejoicing. 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 And fear Allah, and humiliate me not. 69 They replied: "Did we not forbid you again and again to extend hospitality to all and sundry?" 70 Lot exclaimed in exasperation: "If you are bent on doing something, then here are my daughters." 71 Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness. 72 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise; 73 And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 Indeed, it is on a way which still exists. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 So We chastised them.
