Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 And share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
