And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 certainly it is guidance and a blessing for the believers. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 so put your trust in God. Surely you are on the path of manifest truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
