The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
