It is God Who has created cattle for you to ride and to consume as food. 79 And in them are numerous benefits for you, and for you to reach your hearts’ desires while riding them and you ride upon them and upon the ships. 80 He shows you His signs. Now which of the signs of Allah do you disbelieve? 81 Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and in impression on the land, but they were not availed by what they used to earn. 82 When their Messengers came to them with Clear Signs, they arrogantly exulted in whatever knowledge they had. They were then encompassed by what they had mocked. 83 Then, when they saw Our doom, they said: We believe in Allah only and reject (all) that we used to associate (with Him). 84 So their accepting of faith did not benefit them when they saw Our punishment; the tradition of Allah which has passed among His bondmen; and there were the disbelievers ruined. 85
