Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
