We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
