Aaron had already, before this said to them: "O my people! ye are being tested in this: for verily your Lord is (Allah) Most Gracious; so follow me and obey my command." 90 They replied: 'We will not stop; we will cling to it until Moses returns to us.' 91 Musa said: O Harun! what prevented thee, when thou sawest them going astray. 92 from following me? Why did you disobey my command?" 93 'Son of my mother' he replied, 'Do not seize my beard nor my head. I was afraid that you might say: "You have divided the Children of Israel and did not uphold my word." 94 (Moses) said: "What then is thy case, O Samiri?" 95 He said: l saw that which they saw not; so I seized a handful from the footstep of the messenger, and then cast it; thus my soul embellished the affair to me. 96 (Moses) said: "Go hence! All your life you are (cursed) to say: 'Do not touch me; and a threat hangs over you which you will not be able to escape. Look at your god to whom you are so attached: We shall verily burn it, and disperse its ashes into the sea. 97 Your God is only the One God; there is no god, but He alone who in His knowledge embraces everything.' 98 Thus We relate to you the history of past events, and We have given you a reminder [the Quran] from Us. 99 Whoever turns away from it (this Quran i.e. does not believe in it, nor acts on its orders), verily, they will bear a heavy burden (of sins) on the Day of Resurrection, 100 As abiders therein. And vile will it be for them on the Day of Judgment as a load! 101 The Day whereon the trumpet will be blown into, and We shall gather the culprits on that Day blear-eyed, 102 Whispering secretly among themselves, “You have not stayed on earth but for ten days.” 103 We know well what they will utter, whereas the wisest among them will say, “You have stayed just for a day.” 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
