The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
