۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
