Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
