Hizb 46
< random >
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Almighty God's Truth.
