Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Indeed, We have given you, [O Muhammad], a clear conquest 1 so that God might show His forgiveness of all thy faults, past as well as future, and [thus] bestow upon thee the full measure of His blessings, and guide thee on a straight way, 2 and [show] that God will succour thee with [His] mighty succour. 3 He it is Who sent down As-Sakinah (calmness and tranquillity) into the hearts of the believers, that they may grow more in Faith along with their (present) Faith. And to Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise. 4 [And] that He may admit the believing men and the believing women to gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein eternally and remove from them their misdeeds - and ever is that, in the sight of Allah, a great attainment - 5 And [that] He may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, and the polytheist men and polytheist women - those who assume about Allah an assumption of evil nature. Upon them is a misfortune of evil nature; and Allah has become angry with them and has cursed them and prepared for them Hell, and evil it is as a destination. 6 To Allah belong the legions of the heavens and the earth. Allah is Most Mighty, Most Wise. 7 Surely We have sent you as a witness and as a bearer of good news and as a warner, 8 So that (men) may believe in God and His Apostle, and honour Him and revere Him, and sing His praises morning and evening. 9 Those who swore fealty to you, (O Prophet), in fact swore fealty to Allah. The Hand of Allah is above their hands. So whoever breaks his covenant breaks it to his own hurt; and whoever fulfils the covenant that he made with Allah, He will bestow on him a great reward. 10
