In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
