Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 that hide, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
