The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 And the second followeth it, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun he has rebelled.” 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
