Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
