The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
