Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
