Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. 61 And He it is Who made the night and the day to follow each other for him who desires to be mindful or desires to be thankful. 62 And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, 63 who pass the night prostrate to their Lord and standing; 64 who pray, "Lord, protect us from the torment of hell; it is a great loss. 65 it is an evil abode and an evil resting place": 66 who in their spending are neither extravagant nor stingy but maintain moderation, 67 And they who do not call upon another god with Allah and do not slay the soul, which Allah has forbidden except in the requirements of justice, and (who) do not commit fornication and he who does this shall find a requital of sin; 68 The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 69 save him who repents, and believes, and does righteous work -- those, God will change their evil deeds into good deeds, for God is ever All-forgiving, All-compassionate; 70 And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion;- 71 those who do not testify falsely and when they come across something impious, pass it by nobly, 72 and who, whenever they are reminded of their Sustainer's messages, do not throw themselves upon them [as if] deaf and blind; 73 And who say: Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil). 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace! 75 Abiders therein: excellent it is as an abode and as a station. 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
