۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, those with Moses said: Lo! we are indeed caught. 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 and drowned the other party. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
