Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
