In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then let him call upon his henchmen! 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
