O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 Verily this your order is one order, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 So leave them in their error till a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 those vie in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or they say, “He is afflicted by a demon”; in fact he brought the Truth to them, and most of them dislike the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 We struck them with torment, but they did not submit themselves to their Lord, nor did they make themselves humble 76 when We opened on them a gate of severe punishment, they utterly despaired. 77
