THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
