We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
