Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 And other similar torments. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And they shall say: What is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious? 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
