The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! 2 Thy Lord magnify, 3 And thine inner self purify! 4 and shun uncleanness, 5 And do not through giving seek thyself to gain, 6 And for the sake of your Lord, patiently endure. 7 Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded, 8 it will be a hard day 9 Dolorous for the unbelievers. 10 Let Me alone with him whom I created lonely. 11 And to whom I granted extensive wealth 12 And sons always present by his side, 13 And made things easy for them. 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give yet more! 15 Nay! Verily, he has been stubborn and opposing Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). 16 Soon I shall mount him on Saood, the hill of fire. 17 For lo! he did consider; then he planned - 18 So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 19 And again perish he! How maliciously he devised! 20 He then dared to lift his gaze. 21 Then he frowned and scowled; 22 Then he turned back and was haughty; 23 Then he said: naught is this but magic from of old; 24 “This is nothing but the speech of a man.” 25 I will cast him into the fire of Hell. 26 And what will make you know exactly what Hell-fire is? 27 It does not allow anyone to live, and neither does it leave anyone to die; 28 Burning the skins! 29 Above it are nineteen. 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
