Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning to mankind, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens they will question 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
Almighty Allah's Truth.
